Smiling Faces from Stoney Nakoda Nation

Members of Alberta’s Stoney Nakoda Nation wowed crowds in the Canadian Rockies when they presented a vibrant performance of traditional dance and drumming in Banff. Donning beautiful, colourful outfits and faces full of pride, a small insight into a fascinating culture was provided for the amazed onlookers that were increasing in numbers by the minute. The performers comprised of males and females of a variety of ages, but there was one person that stood out the most. He appeared to be the eldest of the group by far and had an endearing, friendly smile that radiated warmth and openness.
