Smiling Faces from Las Fallas Festival – Valencia Spain

Today's smiling faces travel photo is of two adorable performers during the most popular Spanish Festival Las Fallas held annualy in Valencia, Spain

“Valencia is at it’s best during Las Fallas, the craziest of all Spanish festivals, I would dare to say. From the 1st to the 19th of March, the locals hit the streets in gorgeous and super expensive traditional clothes. Thousands of people participate in this lovely madness, while hundreds of them are kids. It is very difficult to put into words how Las Fallas festival really is – noisy, jolly, friendly, tasty, hot, crazy, artistic, expensive – are just a few words I could use to describe it. What’s always puzzling for the outsiders are the 3 year olds playing with firecrackers in the street under the unconcerned eyes of the parents and the babies peacefully sleeping in their strollers during over 100Db firecracker shows. Burning in the middle of the city huge papier mache statues valued at millions of euros is beyond imagination.
