Smiling Boy in Malawi, Africa

While cycling through Africa Dave & Deb stopped at a Plan Canada project in Malawi to help volunteer when they spotted this cute boy with a gorgeous smile.

It was while cycling through Africa that we stopped at a Plan Canada project in Malawi to see how they were helping to educate children and empower a community. We were riding to raise money and awareness about their commitment to helping the children of Africa. The kids were so excited to see us, and upon our arrival they sang songs and danced for us. It was a joyous occasion and this little boy captured the spirit of the day.

Kids are the same all around the world. They love to play, they love to laugh and they are filled with wide-eyed enthusiasm. I don’t know what the future holds for this little boy, but he will always be etched in our memory as a shining light during our travels through the continent. With the help of projects like Plan Canada, there is much hope for the future of African children, but there is still a long way to go. When you see smiling faces like this one, you can’t help but feel uplifted and  optimistic about the future.
