Eating Watermelon | Coco, Costa Rica | Travel Photo

Today's smiling faces travel photo is of an adorable boy (Marcello) smiling while eating watermelon on a boat in Coco, Costa Rica.

I have such fond memories of this particular afternoon, soaking up the intense sun on my friend’s boat off the shores of Coco, Costa Rica. My friend, Lisa, invited me during my very last week of an extraordinary year living the good life. With her husband, Mao, as captain, and his son, Marcelo (shown here), we had a very happy afternoon! While the guys fished, I enjoyed one of my last lazy days of sunbathing, drinking homemade sangria, and laughing with the girls. The second I took this photo, I knew it was special. I vowed to bring that happiness home with me to Las Vegas, where I returned to work.

Today’s smiling faces travel photo was generously contributed by Abby Tegnelia.  She writes about being torn between living the good life in Costa Rica and the fast life of her current time as editor-in-chief of Vegas magazine in Las Vegas, NV on her personal travel and lifestyle blog,  Aside from her travel blog, connect with her her on facebook and twitter.

That’s a photo that puts a smile on my face, too. It also makes me crave a trip to Costa Rica.

How cute! Then again, why wouldn’t you be smiling if you were on a boat in Costa Rica?! 🙂
